Marina is a photographer and creative director born in Maryland, raised between the US and Brno, Czech Republic. She is based in Washington DC and New York City.
Growing up fascinated by 80s vinyl album covers; the bold graphics, saturated color with the texture and energy of that era planted the seed early. She started coordinating photoshoots with friends, handling the fashion, hair, makeup and location. Chasing a specific feeling before she had the language to describe it. That feeling eventually sent her on a one-way trip to New Zealand on savings from her first job. A decision she credits as the moment she committed to going for it.
Then began her career in fashion. Moving to New York City. Working at a Soho designer boutique dressing celebrities for the red carpet. Then launching her own handmade clothing line, The Finiti. A background in dance, acting and modeling sharpened her eye for movement and gave her a natural instinct for directing talent on set.
She moved into photography driven by a desire to create cinematic, captivating visuals. Images that feel like stills pulled from a film. Her work spans across behind-the-scenes, editorial and commercial visuals. Her larger brand clients including Marshalls, Olipop and Primark.
