Still-Life Visual Meditations No.2

These last few days, I have been feeling the opposite grounded. What I found to be the most effective remedy for centering back into your being is to immerse yourself fully into the present moment, to the best of your ability. I picked out a few pictures for us from my travels to New Zealand. Collectively, through reading these guided captions, we can begin to feel into the energetic codes of the picture, allowing us to feel more grounded and centered in this human experience.

Sitting in the boat, you can hear the noise of the tourists commenting on the surrounding scenery. Your heart overwhelms with the feeling of gratitude for being exactly where you are, experiencing nature and feeling the divine order of getting to this point. Breathe in the greenery that takes shelter on top of the rocks. Feel the sun as it shines on your skin and how the air cools as clouds pass by. Listen to the intimate and calm sound of the waves hitting the rock formation.

Sitting in the backseat of the warm heated car, you hear the conversation of your friends sitting in the front seat. You can feel the vibration of the car moving under your body. Outside the window, you see the green grass and cloudy skies. You start to see the ocean and how wide and exposed it is even in the darkness of the weather. Feeling very safe and grateful, you rest your head on the window of the car, feeling the cold glass on your forehead.

You wake up in your room, the first morning in a new country. You open the windows and deeply inhale the scent of the morning dew. You close your eyes lightly. Whilst feeling the breeze caressing your skin, you start to hear the calm sound of cars driving on the road and a dog barking. Opening your eyes, you see the beauty that exists around you and feel called to have an extra slow morning.

After a long journey 5 hours up the side of the mountain, you begin to see the rays of the sun hugging the clouds above the peaks. The hidden farms and houses begin to reveal themselves. You can feel the freezing mountain air flowing through your hair. Savoring every detail, you take a moment to really breathe in the scenery. You observe your mind labeling all you see. Seeing the whole picture, you surrender to the full experience of what looks unreal.

Placing your hands on the cold metal railing, you feel the magic as you stare off into the distance. Seeing the lights from homes and buildings emanating as the sun trickles away… You hear the sound of crickets calming you just as much as the warm air felt between each gust of wind. Looking around at the homes in the neighborhood, you feel gratitude for having the ability to have a place to come back to after a wild day. You suddenly get the excitement to go inside and make some warm green tea with lemon whilst overlooking the balcony feeling the evening air becoming more alive.
