5 Ways You Can Enter the Gateway to Feeling Alive, Again.
There comes a time where we have a choice: Follow the path that other people are telling us to go on or follow our own path. I am a strong believer that you are always in the right place at the right time. However, I have seen firsthand how people my age already feel old and like they are dying. Using substances and externalizing their happiness on how much they accumulate. “As long as your shallow worldly ambitions exist, the door will not open (Laozi).” There is a better way. I invite you to come back to yourself… Here are some simple ways to do that. Suttle truths will follow..
1. Create a Vision Board on Pinterest
Create a board on Pinterest where you save pictures relating to experiences or places you would like to experience. Immerse yourself into the pictures. Put yourself in there fully… and I mean fully. Imagine being there with a partner and friends. Feel the sensuality. Every experience you can have exists for you right now.
This is great for visualizing and creating a feeling of aliveness. Like being a kid during Christmastime, you can shop the catalog of Pinterest and start creating unlimited experiences that excite you. Have fun with it! There are no limitations!
2. Breathe
Breathe in that life force. How people around you are moving. this life force that is allowing you to even be here. Breathe in that energy.
If you can, open the door and breathe in the beauty. The beauty of the sun on your skin. Breathe in the experience that you’re having, whether that be one you label good or bad. Breathe it into your heart center. The whole experience of life. All of it.
3. Watch the Little Prince on Netflix
I can’t think of a better way to reconnect to your dream state where you believe anything is possible. No matter what age you are, this animated movie has so many insights to offer. Your inner child is the ticket to reconnecting with the freedom you KNOW is available to you. Grab some tea, turn on Netflix and relax as a beautiful and very deep story unfolds in front of you.
What makes us feel alive, in logical terms, is this sense of wonderment. People have been programming us to see things the same way they do, but the truth is, you have the ability to explore and feel into new ways of living that excite you. Start experimenting and releasing attachment to beliefs that make no sense.
4. Smile at Strangers
We are all having this human experience. Plugin some classical music and take a walk around your local town. Smile at your fellow earthly mates, with compassion spewing out of your eyes.
See them, recognize yourself in them. The 15-year old cashier, the 58-year-old male bus driver, the college girl walking her dog. They are all human just like you. See the divinity within them. This is such a beautiful and humbling experience.
5. Notice the Small Details of Life
A more specific way to say be in the present moment, the easiest way to connect to life and the feeling of aliveness in to really experience the small details that make up your life. Noticing the way someone types or how somebody’s eyes squint as they smile, it’s these little precious details of everyday life that create so much magic and remind you that you are connected to a stream of miracles.
