3 Simple + Necessary Ways To Show Up For Yourself Today.

In a dimension where we can feel like everything and nothing is happening all at once, it is more than beneficial to take even as little as 60 seconds a day to check in with yourself. Try these out lovelies..

1. What is One Thing You Need to Get done?

Yeah, I know. Not the most exciting way to start. However, oftentimes frustration and anger develops when there is something we had been meaning to get done and we keep pushing it off. Whether that is finishing that thing that was the first thing that came to mind when hearing this question, or FINALLY taking time to slow down at the beach.. it might be time to do it.

Write a list of a few things including chores, projects, assignment, reaching out to someone. ALL the stuff that has been on your mind, write it down. Take inventory of what is on your mind. This way you know where all your mental energy is going. What excites you most to do today? Start there.

2. What is something that sounds exciting for you to do?

Is there a new movie on Netflix you want to watch? Maybe there’s a new art gallery exhibit you want to check out or even a limited edition of Oreos that you want to try. I recommend doing these things after you do a task that is necessary to do, especially if you easily fall into that lazy energy. However, do what feels right for you. Not what feels good.. but what feels right. There is a difference.

Redefine self-care as taking time to do something that excites you and relaxes you at the same time. Self-care is really tending to your needs as a human being in this human experience. What can you do to enjoy and tune into the frequency of life a little more today?

3. How can You Take time to tune into how you are feeling/asses what you’re experiencing?

Talk to yourself. Grab a journal and start writing what you’re experiencing or just talk to yourself in the car as you drive from work talking about how your day went. Even taking time to just get quiet. My favorite one is just laying on the carpet with my eyes closed listening to binaural beats or even just hearing the air conditioning.

Taking the time to check in with yourself and observe you are experiencing in this human experience feels very grounding. Throughout the day sometimes all the noise just gets stuck in our brain and plays on repeat until we look at it and transmute it. Really just take time, in whatever way feels best for you, to unconditionally love and listen to yourself.
